Meet the Dell Streak

A brand new range of Tablets is coming soon to The Carphone Warehouse, starting with the brilliant Dell Streak.

But what makes this 5 inch Android tablet so special?

Well, for starters it's small enough to use on the go, but big enough to make web browsing, movie watching and route planning much more comfortable.

Streak packs a 5 Megapixel autofocus camera (we're really impressed with the picture quality), a front-facing camera, GPS, 3G for phone calls, Bluetooth 2.1 and Wi-Fi for super-fast internet access!

That's a lot of powerful kit for one slender, lightweight device.

Internet browsing is a treat, as you can view entire web pages on the crisp WVGA display without stretching or pulling content into view. It's much easier to manage tabbed pages and view online videos too.
Dell Streak Tablet

Streak is an Android tablet - so you get one-touch access to the Android Market and a great range of apps pre-installed, including Google Maps with street view and turn-by-turn navigation!

One of the great things about Streak is how easy it is to use and to customise. You start off with three home screens full of Android apps and cool features, but there's no limit to the amount of pages you can create and modify.

When you've got about six or seven pages up and running, say one for your favourite contacts, a second for Facebook™, Twitter™ and email, another for GPS and a couple of additional pages for games or music streaming services… you'll notice that everything is still running really smoothly.

That's because of the 1GHZ Qualcomm Snapdragon processor inside; which delivers enough power for all the apps you could care to open, boots the system instantly and manages battery life so that you can enjoy using Streak all day long.

If you, like most of us here at Carphone, can’t wait to get your hands on your very own tablet, take a look at the impressive specs on our Dell Streak page and available to buy now!

A bit of great news for tech fans: Dell have confirmed that Streak will get an over-the-air update to Android 2.1, with full flash 10 support, a bit later on in the year.
