LG expected to announce three new handsets during mobile conference A day before the Mobile World Congress 2009 gets underway in Barcelona, Spain, leaks and previews surrounding new mobile phones are being released. Photos of several new LG phones have appeared online, showing at least three new handsets. Industry website GSM Arena has said the new models are the LG GM730, LG GD900 and the LG GC900. The company is also expected to launch the LG KM900 Arena, which has already been announced. All of the new handsets boast touch screens, and the GD900 will be the world's first mobile with a transparent keypad. More releases and the full specifications on these devices are expected to be revealed at the conference tomorrow. In addition, LG has also announced the release of their new KS-500 model, which is a slider boasting interesting features including an LCD-screen, GPS, 3 megapixel camera and a 0.3 megapixel camera for video calls. According to Mobile Whack, the mobile also boasts 30MB of storage and the opportunity to expand memory space. The Mobile World Congress is an event where mobile manufacturer's gather to announce new developments in the industry. This year, rumours have been flying surrounding the possible release of a Dell mobile phone at the Congress. Experts have been speculating that the computer company has been planning to release a smartphone that would incorporate its PC technology. The much-anticipated Sony Ericsson Flippa cyber shot phone is also expected to be released at the Congress. Others attending the Congress include mobile industry giants such as Motorola, Nokia and Samsung. |
